HOW TO REGISTER
🐾SHORT NOTICE & FIRST TIME BOOKING
Got a last‑minute getaway brewing? I’ll try my absolute best to help you. Just keep in mind that my induction process isn’t something I can rush, I cannot accept new enquiries for stays starting less then 8 weeks away.
From June through September my diary is especially busy, and it may not be possible to fit in a full induction during these months. Early enquiries give us the best chance of completing everything in time. as my registration process takes time to complete.
STAGE 1- PAPERWORK

After you send your details, I'll reply as soon as I can so we can begin.
STAGE 2- HOUR FREE MEET
Once the paperwork is completed, your dachshund gets to come for their complimentary one‑hour - a calm little visit where they can explore, settle, and charm our resident crew.
WHEN: Weekdays at 10am or 2pm (Weekends by request)
THE VIRTUAL TOUR:
To keep things peaceful for our IVDD guests, I’ll send you a video tour of my home and garden so you can peek behind the scenes without disturbing the pups.
DROP‑OFF:
I'll meet you at the gates for a handover no need to bring anything other then your pup. To keep the atmosphere relaxed for all my guests — especially for the more sensitive or mobility‑limited sausages — I don’t bring visitors or children inside the home. A calm, low‑excitement arrival helps a pup settle.
Once I’ve said hello, you’re free to nip to the local pub or café, or simply enjoy a quiet moment nearby while your pup has their hour of sniffing, exploring, and making new friends. When you come back to pick pup up we can discuss the next stages.
STAY UPDATED:
I’ll send you video snippets during their visit so you can see exactly how they’re getting on.
STAGE 3- THE TRIAL
With the meet & greet ticked off, it’s time for your trial stay!
For Boarding:
THE TRIAL NIGHT: Most sausages head straight into a trial overnight.
A GENTLE START: For the more sensitive souls, I may suggest a few “build‑up days” first. I’ll tailor the plan to whatever helps your pup settle best.
PEACE OF MIND: I keep you updated throughout. If your pup decides this isn’t for them, i’ll tell you immediately. While trial nights are non‑refundable, i'm always happy to point you toward another lovely boarder who might be a better match.
For Daycare:
You're welcome to start daycare straightaway once your hour meet it completed.
WELCOME TO MY LONG DOG FAMILY
Once your pup has completed their trial stay, they’re officially on my books. From now on, you can contact me on whatsapp directly whenever you’d like to book holidays or daycare dates. Please note if its been over a year I will need updated forms and a quick overnight trial.
TRAVEL TIP: It’s a great idea to check that your pet or holiday insurance covers boarding fees if you ever need to cancel. As a small home‑from‑home business, all payments are non‑refundable and non‑transferable, so having a little back‑up Plan B in place just in case flights or holidays are cancelled and you're unable to go away on your original Plan A holiday is a great idea.
