Got a last‑minute getaway brewing? We’ll try our absolute best to make it work! Just keep in mind that our Induction process isn’t something we can rush, and our diary can get a bit sausage‑shaped when holidays are close. If your trip is coming up fast, pop us a message as soon as you can and we’ll do everything we can to support you.
STAGE 1- THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

Once you’ve had a read, just pop your details into our Sausage Hotline Form:

After you send your details, an automatic email will arrive. Reply to that message — it’s the little doorway into the next stage of your dachshund’s adventure
Once the paperwork is wrapped up, your dachshund gets to come for their complimentary one‑hour “test drive” — a chance for them to explore, settle, and charm our resident crew. WHEN: Weekdays at 10am or 2pm (weekends by request — we’re flexible like a dachshund doing a stretch). THE VIRTUAL TOUR: To keep things calm for our IVDD guests, we’ll send you a cosy video tour of our home and garden so you can peek behind the scenes without disturbing the snoozers. DROP‑OFF: We’ll meet you at the gates for a quick hello and handover. Then you’re free to nip to the local pub or café, or simply enjoy a quiet moment nearby while your pup has their hour of sniffing, exploring, and making new friends STAY UPDATED: We’ll send you video snippets during their visit so you can see exactly how they’re getting on — tails, sniffs, wiggles and all
STAGE 2- MEET THE LONG DOG CREW
With the meet & greet ticked off, it’s time for the next chapter: the trial stay! Think of it as your pup’s “sleepover audition”. Your Vet Release form will be pinged over on email before your trial which you will need to print and sign- this helps keep your sausage super safe for any longer stays. For Boarding: - THE TRIAL NIGHT: Most sausages head straight into a trial overnight — easy, breezy, bedtime‑snuggly. - A GENTLE START: For the more sensitive souls, we may suggest a few “build‑up days” first. We’ll tailor the plan to whatever helps your pup feel brave and brilliant. - PEACE OF MIND: We keep you updated throughout. If your pup decides this isn’t their vibe, we’ll tell you immediately. While trial nights are non‑refundable, we’re always happy to point you toward another lovely boarder who might be a better match. For Daycare: - DIRECT ENTRY: If your pup strutted through the meet‑and‑greet like they owned the place, they can start daycare right away!
STAGE 3- THE TRIAL SNOOZE

Once your pup has aced their trial stay, they’re officially a VIP guest — Very Important Paws! From now on, you can contact us directly whenever you’d like to book holidays or daycare dates.
TRAVEL TIP: It’s a great idea to check that your pet or holiday insurance covers boarding fees if you ever need to cancel. It keeps everything stress‑free, even when life throws a curveball (or a squeaky toy).
